Middle Eastern Adventure

Hello from Oman.  (lively music)  I’ve made it to Oman, which is the third  and final country on my great Middle Eastern adventure.  This is kinda a different stop for me,  for a couple of reasons.  One if you had asked me a year ago  to point to Oman on a map,  I won’t have been able to do it.  I hadn’t heard anything about this country.  But I’ve had my trip to Dubai and Jordan,  that I just recently visited planned for probably six  or eight months now,  and as I told people about it,  more than once somebody said,  “Oh, if you’re over in that area,  you should go to Oman as well,”  because it’s actually very close to Dubai.  So to be honest I’m kind of just winging it.  I do have one thing that I’ve booked  and planned while I’m here,  and I do have ideas of other things to do,  like I did some research.   But you can smell it even through the bag  and I thought if anything I’m just gonna  through it in my suitcase,  so that my clothes smell good.

Dresses and All

And then the last thing I bought is a magnet  to put on my fridge that has a camel  and the Oman flag.   One of the biggest questions I had when planning this trip,  and I think most women have  when they think of visiting the Middle East is,  what do I wear?    I’ve even seen some women working in hotels wearing  really nice like sleeveless dresses.  The only thing that I heard before coming over here  that I do find to be very true  is you really don’t see any cleavage.

The Vibes

You don’t see really low cut tops anywhere.  And I do definitely get those vibes here.  Obviously, you always need to have your wits about you,  when you’re traveling.  But like there were several times that I took a taxi  and I paid the taxi fare for a round trip upfront  and the driver said that he would wait for me  for like an hour wherever we were going.  And maybe this sounds ridiculous  but they were always there waiting,  even though they had already been paid.   If you do come to Oman,  I would recommend staying even longer than I did.  I was here for four nights  and I feel like I didn’t even see enough.  So I’m going to go, I hope you guys enjoyed this video.  Thank you so much for watching,  and I’ll see you in the next one.  Bye.  (lively music)
